Japan Airlines currently has 55 Boeing 787s, including 23 787-8s and 22 787-9s. Over the years, some Dreamliners have been given special liveries to celebrate various events. 🎨🌍

In 2018, one of the 787-8s (registration number JA841J) wore a special SAMURAI BLUE livery to cheer for the Japanese national football team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. This project was completed in partnership with Adidas Japan. ⚽️🇯🇵

About a year later, Japan Airlines launched the Olympic Torch Relay livery 🏅🔥 on another 787-8 (registration number JA837J) in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The aircraft was tasked with transporting the Olympic torch from Greece to Japan, a project completed in partnership with All Nippon Airways (ANA). Both JAL and ANA logos are proudly displayed on the aircraft. ✈️🏅

Currently, Japan Airlines also has a 787-9 (registration number JA861J) showing the OneWorld livery. 🌐✈️ Of course, the special livery that JAL collaborated with the Japanese national artist group Arashi on the Hawaiian route (registration number JA873J) is indispensable.
